Chapter 13: Numerous ways of doing good
Hadith 134
Jâbir رضي الله عنه reported that he heard Messenger of Allâh (SAW) saying, “Every good deed is charity.”
[Al-Bukhârî]
Muslim has reported the same on the authority of Hudhaifah رضي الله عنه.

Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf
We come to know from this Hadîth that whatever good action and deed is done by a Muslim, he gets a reward of Sadaqah on it. The word Ma’rûf stands here for every virtue and noble deed. Renunciation of evils is also a virtue (Ma’rûf)
